Although they were compelled to be the ideal American wife/mother… most of these women were divorced within a few years of their husbands pretend to walk on a pretend Moon in Nevada. It is believed that the stress caused by the complex reality of knowing that the whole thing was fake drove their husbands to hatred, bitterness and a life of seclusion… likely because of shame.
